Short of goal, yet proud of the accomplishment. Loved the hilly course, sights and friendly people! I have many pics to upload from the course and will share my thoughts later when I return from the trip.
Surprisingly, while heading back over the Golden Gate Bridge I spotted my wife who didn't hear my yelling her name. I hoped to have caught a picture of her. Then, it occurred to me, "Hey, I wonder if I'll see Camels and Chocolates?" Two minutes later, I thought I saw her but couldn't yell her name because I have no idea what her name is. So Camel, if you were wearing a white shirt and running near the rope, I believe, I saw you -- small world!
Today, Wednesday, my pain finally subsided! Thinking of the next race and signing-up with a local running coach in order to lose 40 minutes off my time.
For my first marathon race of the season, I'm quite pleased. Absolutely loved the city and wish I could move there sometime soon -- more on that later. It's vacation time!

Congrats on breaking four hours on a hilly course! Cutting 40 minutes off your time will be a tough feat, but with the right coach, dedication to smart training, and the will to succeed you'll be achieving that HUGE goal. Myself, I would probably set smaller goals of maybe 10 minutes off the next marathon race, but I tend to be overly cautious.
Sounds like all your hard work really paid off-well done! Enjoy your vacation-you earned it.
